Expansion Plans Unveiled: St. Joe Welcomes Starbucks and Diverse Tenants to Watersound Town Center

The St. Joe Company (NYSE: JOE), a prominent player in real estate development, is set to elevate the allure of Watersound Town Center, its vibrant open-air lifestyle hub at the gateway to the Watersound Origins® community in Inlet Beach, Florida. The company has unveiled a strategic expansion initiative featuring the arrival of a new Starbucks and an array of retail, dining, medical, and office tenants.

Exciting Additions to Watersound Town Center:

  • Starbucks on the Horizon: Anticipated for a 2024 debut, a new Starbucks café is in the pipeline, nestled within a multi-tenant building currently under construction on Origins Main Street.

  • Diverse Tenant Mix: Joining the thriving community are Sweet Henrietta’s Bakery, Summer House Lifestyle, Halo Salon & Blowout Bar, Nigel’s Bananas, and Friends 30A Burger Bar.

Professional Services and Healthcare:

  • Dental Excellence: Dr. Reese Harrison is set to establish a new dental office on the center’s second floor.

  • Flexible Workspace Solutions: Watersound Executive Suites will offer individual offices and shared meeting spaces, catering to entrepreneurs, small businesses, and satellite offices.

Community Impact: Samantha Walton, Director of Commercial Sales and Leasing for St. Joe, expressed the growing demand for Watersound Town Center’s dynamic offerings. The new additions, including Starbucks, promise to enhance the overall experience for visitors.

Continued Growth and Appeal: Dan Velazquez, Senior Vice President of Commercial Real Estate for St. Joe, highlighted the continuous evolution of Watersound Town Center. Starbucks and the incoming tenants are poised to complement existing businesses, solidifying the center as a sought-after destination for shopping, dining, medical care, and professional services.

Recent and Future Openings: In 2023, the center welcomed Village Market, Fleet Feet Running Store, Grand Nail Salon, Marco’s Pizza, Bahama Bucks, Watersound Closings & Escrow, and the Watersound Discovery Center. These additions, along with those slated for 2024, join a distinguished lineup of tenants that includes Publix Super Market, Publix Liquors, Ascension Sacred Heart, Ambrosia Prime Seafood & Steaks, Capital City Bank, Dermatology Specialists of Florida, and Aqua Medical Spa.

Ongoing Development: Currently offering approximately 137,000 square feet of leasable space, Watersound Town Center is designed to evolve further. Future plans envision expanding the center to approximately 400,000 square feet, underscoring its commitment to growth and community engagement.
