Osisko Development Commences Surface Drilling for Copper-Gold-Molybdenum Porphyry at Tintic Project

Osisko Development Corp. has initiated its initial surface diamond drilling exploration campaign at the Big Hill target area within its 100% owned Tintic Project, located in central Utah, U.S.A. The drilling aims to test for copper-gold-molybdenum porphyry mineralization potential.

Highlights:

  • The drilling campaign follows the receipt of necessary permits, and a diamond drill rig from Major Drilling America is currently on-site, with drilling activities starting on December 1, 2023.

  • The Tintic District, known for porphyry-style mineralization, is strategically located near Rio Tinto's Bingham Canyon Mine.

  • The Tintic Project shows potential for a classic porphyry-epithermal system with two identified lithocaps, suggesting significant subsurface volcanic activity.

  • An initial 3,000-meter drilling program will focus on testing priority targets for potential porphyry-style mineral systems.

Current Exploration Focus:

  • Two large lithocaps at the Big Hill and Silver Pass areas indicate high heat signatures, suggesting potential subsurface volcanic activity.

  • The ongoing drilling program, including the Trixie West target, aims to explore copper-gold-molybdenum porphyry potential at depth.

  • The Tintic Project encompasses a historic mining district with considerable exploration potential for various metal deposits.
